Co-Wash

So, I took out my micros in September of 09. I decided I was ready to cut that last inch of relaxed hair on the ends. CHOP CHOP……Then I thought hey, I’ve watched so many videos talking about a co-wash. So why not give that a try. For those of you who don’t know what a co-wash is, don’t worry I had no clue either. It’s when you wash your hair using conditioner, instead of shampoo. I’ve heard that conditioner has less harsh chemicals than shampoo. So there I was, cutting off more hair, but I didn’t cry this time :-) I washed it with the conditioner (Redken), then rinsed it out, and shook my head. Yes, I mean shake shake shake. It causes your coils to bounce in place. For those with short tresses, you are supposed to flip your head upside down and shake. Good technique I learned on good ol youtube. I sprayed some conditioner on it (Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla and Nexxus Humectress Leave in Conditioner), and then used the Kinky Curly Custard. I shook my head again…..Shake shake shake.
