F the Negativity

So for the past couple of months I have been met with positive feedback about the way I choose to wear my hair. But of course along with the good comes some bad. The negativity: oh why are you doing this, you don't look as good, you need a perm, your hair is so short, I liked it better when it was long etc etc. Sometimes it got to the point where I would second guess myself....Like man, did I look better with relaxed hair? But I had to remind myself that I did not decide to go natural for anyone else but me, therefore no one else has to be please with my decisions but me. I love my hair the way it is now. Of course I go through my ups and downs about the way it's styled, but for the most part, I love it. So with that, I would say to all my natural Ladies......F the negativity.......Forget about it that is. Forget those who try to bring you down, or say things in order make it seem that being natural is being less beautiful. As a matter of fact, this isn't just for women who have natural hair. This is for people in general! No one has to live your life but you. Stand firm behind your decisions. Know that going through ups and downs is a natural part of life. So regardless of how I decide to wear my hair, whether I want to continue to let my hair grow naturally, or lock it up, or even if I decide to relax my hair again, it's my choice, and I stand firmly behind it............More details to come
